Jennifer Edmondson
Piano

Jennifer Edmondson   Jennifer is a junior at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in piano performance and music composition. In the spring of 2007, she was named a winner in the 2007 ISU Symphony Orchestra’s Concerto Competition and performed with the orchestra in March. In 2005, she was awarded 3rd place in the Terrace Hill piano competition and received talent and academic scholarships to attend ISU. She performs as a soloist and in small ensembles on student recitals at ISU.

   Jennifer studies music composition with Dr. Christopher Hopkins. In 2005, she was awarded the first Marilyn Etzel College Scholarship for her composition Three Preludes for solo piano. In spring of 2007, her piece Duo for violin and cello received 2nd place in the Iowa Composers Forum’s student competition and was premiered at ICF’s spring festival. In December of 2004, her piece Rondo (Hope) received an Honorable Mention in the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts’ Award Recognition and Talent Search.
