The Fort Dodge Area Symphony is interested in community enrichment and draws players from all walks of life as well as all ages and interests. The core group of orchestra players listed below are volunteer musicians who share the common interest of using their musical abilities in order to perform symphony music. Due to varied schedules, not all of the players listed are available for all of the concerts. There are some hired players from other orchestras who fill up the string sections as needed. Some of these players perform at individual concerts and others contract for the entire season. Some of the orchestra players engage their talents by offering private lessons or by providing special music for events such as weddings, open houses and other receptions. These players are marked with an asterisk (*) in the list below. For more details, see the Orchestra Services page. The Fort Dodge Area Symphony frequently has openings in its orchestra. For more information about current openings please see the Contact Us page. The orchestra will rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for the first concert (Sept. 7 through Oct. 12). For the remaining concerts (Oct. 21 through April 21), the rehearsals will be on Thursday evenings. VIOLIN I
