Youth Honors Recital
Details

The recital for 2012 will be held on Friday, March 16, 7 P.M., at McSweeney’s School of the Performing Arts. Registrations for those wishing to participate are due Monday, February 20, 2012. These should be sent to: Ardella Hein, 522 North 3rd Street, Fort Dodge, IA 50501.

Piano and vocal soloists must have their pieces memorized. Duets do not have to be memorized. All wind, string, and vocal students must be accompanied unless special permission is granted in advance. There is a maximum of four minutes. Students may not perform in more than two areas. Piano soloists may play more than one number if their pieces are short. Please include a time for the approximate length of each solo to use as a guide in scheduling the recital.

There will be several soloists selected to play for the pre-concert recital starting at 2:30 P.M. before the Fort Dodge Area Symphony Young Artists' program on April 22, 2012. Students selected for this recital are eligible every two years. However, all 8th graders are eligible.
